Less Than 2 Days To Go!

We have less than 2 days to go before the wedding.  Actually by the time I publish this post it will be 1 more day to go before the wedding because it's almost midnight here.  I'm exhausted!

Today we have been getting the house ready for guests.  The Boy was suppose to be home by 6 pm and get his hair cut.  He and his friend had car problems in the middle of nowhere and it put them behind almost 5 hours getting home.  A belt broke in the car and they had to find a repair shop.  They were still almost 4 hours away so there wasn't an easy way for me to get to them.  Luckily, they were able to find help and get the car repaired and be on their way home.

The Boy got home at 11 pm.

While all that was going on, The Murph and I went to pick up family members from the airport.  The plane was almost an hour late, which we didn't find out until we got there.  They finally arrived and we made it home before The Boy got home.

Tomorrow is another busy day.

I had to reschedule The Boy's haircut for tomorrow morning.  I have to get a manicure too.  And the tuxes have to be picked up.  The rest of the family is arriving from New Jersey.  The rehearsal is at 4:30.  Then the family is coming to the house for dinner.  We decided not to have a rehearsal dinner.  Just regular dinner at the house, very casual so my family and the Murph's can get to know each other and my mom can get her dress.

Another exciting thing that happened today is that our wedding might be featured in Alabama Wedding magazine.   The director at the country club where we are having the wedding, called us today to ask us if that would be okay.

Of course we said, "Yes!"

Now that family has arrived for the wedding, it's made me realize this is it!  No more waiting or planning.  It's time!

  1. The excitement feels over whelming to me, and I'm up in Canada. So I can only imagine how you guys feel. I hope your day is wonderful, which I know it will because you've been working hard at it for months. Be sure to post some pics, if you can.

    1. I will most certainly post pictures. I don't know when I will get the professional ones back to post but I'm sure I will get some candid ones this weekend.

  2. Save me a copy of the magazine pleassseee!
A low key casual dinner at home (instead of rehearsal dinner) is smart. I hope you're not going to try to fit in cooking with everything else going on. Jim 'n Nicks is great for a casual catered dinner. (We have used them many times for family events...in fact, last month when we were there.)
