I'm so excited because we received our Christmas cards yesterday. I downloaded our wedding pictures to Shutterfly and designed these cards with some of the pictures. I am very pleased with the way the cards turned out and with a discount and free shipping, the cards were extremely reasonably priced. I also got matching return address labels.

Today I will be busy addressing them so we can send them to our sweet family and friends.
They weren't allowed to come to the wedding because of "behavioral problems,"therefore weren't in any of the wedding pictures, but I included our three furry feline children in the Christmas card too. Of course!
Your cards look nice. We too have already received a couple cards from relatives. But I have an issue with sparkles, and they all have them. So once we read them, they hit the recycling bin.
ReplyDeleteI don't get very many christmas cards anymore. Guess people don't send them out like they use to so I am thrilled when I get some. I display them somewhere (mantel, side table, card holder wreath) until after christmas and then I pack them up with the christmas things. Especially the photo cards. I know what you mean about the sparkles though. My card doesn't have any.

We are actually sending them out this year. I know. Hell has frozen over. I think we stopped at some point when we lived on Tortola because of the cost of using our courier and unreliability of local mail.

DeleteA lot of folks have stopped sending cards snail mail and are going with e-cards. I get very few now whereas I used to get hundreds. Yesterday hubby and I were cleaning out the attic when we came across an old letter from my aunt to my mother. It was like holding a relic! There's something about a real and tangible letter or card, isn't there?
ReplyDeleteThere really is a difference. When I was in college my grandmother sent me a card with a handwritten note inside almost every single week. I've kept almost all of them. I guess todays grandmothers send emails to their grandchildren and stay connected online.
