Red Things

In honor of Valentine's Day week I am doing a post about my favorite red things.  As most of you know by now, if you've been following my blog, I prefer pink over red any day.  Christmas and Valentines are the only time you will see me wearing anything that's red, but I do have some things red.

Here are some of my favorites.

My favorite red cowboy boots.

Cowboy Boots - Durango (old) similar Here;  Dress - BCBG Maxazria  (old)

My favorite red dress.

Red Dress - BeBe (old) similar Here, but only two sizes left;  Bracelet - BeBe (old); Necklace - antique

My favorite red nail polish.

Nail Polish - OPI Big Apple Red

My favorite red lipstick.

Lipstick - Mac Russian Red

The only red work out clothes I own other than shirts I get at races.  Worn rarely, usually twice a year.

Workout shorts - Nike (old); Workout tank - Addidas (old);  Running Shoes - Brooks Glycerin (not red!)

My favorite "red" products.

Perfume - Versace Red Jeans;  Body Lotion - Bath and Body Sensual Black Currant Vanilla; Mascara - Maybelline Stiletto Waterproof, of course;  Lip pencil - Mac Cherry

And last but not least, my favorite socks with my favorite red M-dot Ironman logo.

The definition of M-dot in the urban dictionary is....

M Dot
An "M DOT" is a nick name for a crazy, tough, risk taking person. It's a way to describe someone in a fierce and violent way.

And this is the logo for Ironman?  Coincidence?  I think not.

Keyword here being "crazy".  70.3 is only "half crazy".  Just so you know.

Fashion Friday Or So I'm Told

The Murph:  It's Friday aren't you going to do one of those "Fashion Friday" posts.

Me:  No, I did a post on something else today.

The Murph:  But it's Friday and you said you were going to do a post on that dress I bought you for Christmas.

Me:  I know, but I just made up "fashion friday" and I already did a fashion post this week and it's my blog and I am ADD so who knows what or when I may do another fashion post.

The Murph:  But I took pictures of you in the dress and everything and it's Friday.  Fashion Friday.

Me:  I don't know.  I'm ADD.  Whatever comes up in my brain for the day goes out in a post.

The Murph:  I don't care if you're OCD, PMS, ADT, DTR, AARP or whatever you are, it's fashion friday.  You need to do the fashion friday post.  Your followers expect it!

Me:  (Doubtful my followers expect anything from me at this point or are even still following me)  Okaaay...

Sooooo....  here it is.   A "Fashion Friday" post cause it's Friday and the Murph says so.

Rain Boots And Rolling Bags

Yesterday was another rain boot weather kind of day.  Ken says I will use any excuse to wear my Michael Kors rain boots.  Maybe, but I would rather not have the bad storms and tornadoes that came through Alabama, Kentucky and Ohio yesterday.  It was awful and I feel terrible for all the people who lost everything, entire towns destroyed.  It's so scary this weather lately.  Luckily, we were at the Florida coast which was south of where the worst storms passed through so all we got was some rain showers.  The clouds were still low and we were in the fog for another day.  Very strange.

The very large rolling bag I'm pulling is my awesome toiletry/cosmetic bag.  I purchased it several years ago when I got the "Accredited Staging Professional" certification when I first became a Realtor.  It was meant to hold things like cleaning supplies, furniture moving equipment, picture hangers, and other assorted tools to help in staging houses and getting them ready for sale.  The bag has been sitting in my garage ever since the real estate market took a nose dive.  Now I am happy to put it to another use.  It has all these great compartments, big ones and small ones and rolls right into the condo or hotel and into the bathroom where all my toiletry products and cosmetics are easily accessible.  I am not sure it would hold up to air travel, but it's great for road trips.

Reorganizing

I had a very productive day today reorganizing and cleaning out one of my closets to get the house ready to put on the market.  I came across this painting from about 1977.   It is a painting of me at approximately age 11 or 12 painted by my good friend D before she and her family moved up north to Illinois.  Funny how I have kept all of these things.

I also still have my Barbie paper dolls from the early 1970's.  Why?  I don't know....

It was kind of funny and a little embarrassing when the Murph and I went out tonight and he was looking through the pictures I had taken on the camera and came across this Barbie one.   We decided to stay in last night and avoid the Valentine Day crowds.  Tonight wasn't much better though as far as the crowds.  We went to Flemings and had calamari and crab cakes.  Ken loves Flemings calamari and says it's the best.  Every thing's delicious at Flemings.   I finally got a chance to wear the new pink Jeffrey Campbell shoes I bought last month online from Free People.  It went perfect with the new pink Bebe dress that I bought before Christmas.  We ran into some friends at Flemings and got a chance to caught up since we haven't seen anyone since the Christmas holidays.

After a couple of drinks we headed over to P.F. Chang's for some lettuce wraps and egg rolls before heading home.   Great night out with Ken.  Tomorrow I tackle the other closet!   The one with all the shoes.....

Cadence had to get in on the picture taking action before we left.  He's always right there beside me.  My favorite kitty.....

I think Cadence wants me to stop taking pics and pet him dammit!
See Cadence creeping up beside Ken....
