May Day Fashion And Time For A New Cat Yoga Pose

Dress: New Romantic from Free People, old;  Shoes: Christian Louboutin, old;  Bracelets: John Hardy Bracelet similar Here and David Yurman Bracelet Here;  Lips: MAC Girl About Town, Here

Jacket: Soho, old;  Tank:  Helmet, Here;  Shorts: American Eagle, old;  Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell;  Lips: MAC Girl About Town, Here

A couple of my favorite pairs of shoes! I got the Louboutins on sale during a trip to Atlanta a few years ago. They are my most comfortable pair of Louboutins. I can barely walk in the Christian Louboutin black pumps I bought several years ago so they don't get worn much, but I still love to look at them.

The pink Jeffrey Campbell shoes were purchased last year. I love them mostly because they're pink!

Also, happy May 1st and time for another kitty yoga pose for the month of May!

This pose is called Pip Triangle Pose Variation and Ms. May does it so well! I'm going to have to pass on this one though. Looks like it requires to much balance and coordination.

I Say Comfortable - The Murph Says Sexy

We didn't take too many pictures while we were at the beach this Thanksgiving.  We went out a couple of times while we were there though. I really love this dress.  It is very comfortable and versatile and not very expensive at all.  It can easily be dressed up or down.  I have actually worn my black Ugg boots with it.  (I know!  Sorry!!)   I also have it in leopard print, but I don't really get to wear that one as much.   And, of course, this dress has spandex!  I've come to realize that almost all my clothes do!

The shoes are Jeffrey Campbell purchased last year.  I don't get a chance to wear them much, but I LOVE them!  Phantom was being very cooperative to let me hold him and get a picture too.  He is VERY heavy though!

Sunset over Mobile Bay. To the right is a picture of the US Alabama Battleship.  I remember taking The Boy to see it when he was little.

Going through downtown Mobile, Alabama heading back to the beach.

Another one of the US Alabama Battleship in Mobile Bay.

You can barely see them, but there were hundreds of birds flying around together in the Santa Rosa Sound.  Migrating?  Who knows, but The Murph grabbed the camera and started taking pictures from the balcony.

And a big squeeze for my beach cat who did NOT want to come back home the other day.  He should have been an only cat, but he will have to tolerate the other two cats for now.  I could send him to live with The Boy in his apartment and pay the pet fee, but I think I would miss him too much!  It is bad enough that The Boy's not here anymore.

That's it for this beach trip.  Can't wait to get back down there after Christmas!

Reorganizing

I had a very productive day today reorganizing and cleaning out one of my closets to get the house ready to put on the market.  I came across this painting from about 1977.   It is a painting of me at approximately age 11 or 12 painted by my good friend D before she and her family moved up north to Illinois.  Funny how I have kept all of these things.

I also still have my Barbie paper dolls from the early 1970's.  Why?  I don't know....

It was kind of funny and a little embarrassing when the Murph and I went out tonight and he was looking through the pictures I had taken on the camera and came across this Barbie one.   We decided to stay in last night and avoid the Valentine Day crowds.  Tonight wasn't much better though as far as the crowds.  We went to Flemings and had calamari and crab cakes.  Ken loves Flemings calamari and says it's the best.  Every thing's delicious at Flemings.   I finally got a chance to wear the new pink Jeffrey Campbell shoes I bought last month online from Free People.  It went perfect with the new pink Bebe dress that I bought before Christmas.  We ran into some friends at Flemings and got a chance to caught up since we haven't seen anyone since the Christmas holidays.

After a couple of drinks we headed over to P.F. Chang's for some lettuce wraps and egg rolls before heading home.   Great night out with Ken.  Tomorrow I tackle the other closet!   The one with all the shoes.....

Cadence had to get in on the picture taking action before we left.  He's always right there beside me.  My favorite kitty.....

I think Cadence wants me to stop taking pics and pet him dammit!
See Cadence creeping up beside Ken....

All Laced Up

Today I wore these new Jeffrey Campbell lace up boots since my Uggs have been occupied and turned into a cat bed and are now covered in cat hair.  I really like these boots, but I have to say I have been very spoiled with pull on type boots (such as the Uggs and my cowboy boots) and it was a job to lace these babies up.   Phantom didn't help matters either as he tried to chase the laces and chew on them as I struggled to get them laced up.  I almost lost a couple of fingers with those fat paws and sharp teeth coming dangerously close.   Lacing these boots up would probably be much easier without the Jazz cat's help, but oh well,  he was having fun and I still have all my fingers and no scratches.

After all the trouble to get them laced up, I have to say they are really starting to grow on me.  They are really super cute and versatile since they are two-toned ( black and brown) and a great alternative to my Uggs and the cowboy boots.  Ken isn't all that crazy about my cowboy boots, but I do love my red ones.
He only called me "prairie girl" twice, but thinks they are just too much trouble to get on and off.  (He saw me struggling to get them on with the help from Phantom).  They are very comfortable though and even fit well over my large calves, which are very muscular due unfortunately to way too much running and biking.  Once laced up, these boots are decidedly on the way to my fave list.
