Fashion Friday - Lace

Dress: Victoria Secret;  Shoes: Carl Madden;  Necklace: old;  Bracelets: old; Nails: Pink and White acrylic gel with one sheer coat of OPI Kyoto Pearl (here)

The other day I did a post about the black and white Spring fashion trend 2013. Another Spring fashion trend I love is lace. The Murph purchased this dress for me a couple of years ago. I also have several lace shirts I love but seldom wear because of my three cats. Two of which are not declawed.

I love this dress with lace sleeves. I have been wearing this one a lot and so far, no snags from kitty claws!

Dress: Free People (here);  Booties: Carlos by Santana (here); Leggings: old, but Express (I think);  Nail Color: OPI Lincoln Park After Dark (here)

Another lace dress I've gotten a lot of wear our of is this one. I got it online from Free People. You can't see from this picture, but it has a sheer lace cutout in the back.

Dress: Free People (Nightcap);  Shoes: Zigi Soho;  Watch: Geneva (old, but similar here);  Bracelet: Avon (Mark) old

Does lace ever really go out of style?

Fashion Friday - Coral!

Dress - Bebe color block dress calypso coral;  Shoes - Steven by Steve Madden;  Similar here Pink pearl necklace;  bracelet from Cache (old)

It seems like I've gone from nearly no coral items in my wardrobe, to several different dresses in just a couple of months.  Both of these dresses were Christmas and Valentine presents from the Murph.  I've had the Steve Madden shoes for a couple of years with nothing to wear with them because they seemed to clash with my pinks and silver.  Now it seems I have plenty to wear with them and I'll take advantage of that this spring and summer.

Dress - Victoria's Secret crossover bra top dress;  Mac Lipstick - Impassioned;  Similar here John Hardy bracelet; silver cuff bracelet - old;  Shoes - Colin Stuart (old)

Trying to get Cadence out of the "photo shoots" is next to impossible.  He's incredibly clingy and demanding.  Maybe he was trying to remind me that he's sort of coral too, but sort of not.

He's kind of orange, not coral.  No pink, unless you count the ears.  Sorry Cadence!

Now I need to find an OPI shade of coral for my nails.  The OPI South Beach collection has a couple of options.  I'm open to suggestions.

Coral is one of those colors that I'm not really sure about.  Sometimes I like it and sometimes I don't.  It is a pink orange color and I LOVE pink, but orange, not so much.  As long as the coral is more pink than orange, I like it.  Both of the dresses above pass the test.

The Murph did good!

I Say Comfortable - The Murph Says Sexy

We didn't take too many pictures while we were at the beach this Thanksgiving.  We went out a couple of times while we were there though. I really love this dress.  It is very comfortable and versatile and not very expensive at all.  It can easily be dressed up or down.  I have actually worn my black Ugg boots with it.  (I know!  Sorry!!)   I also have it in leopard print, but I don't really get to wear that one as much.   And, of course, this dress has spandex!  I've come to realize that almost all my clothes do!

The shoes are Jeffrey Campbell purchased last year.  I don't get a chance to wear them much, but I LOVE them!  Phantom was being very cooperative to let me hold him and get a picture too.  He is VERY heavy though!

Sunset over Mobile Bay. To the right is a picture of the US Alabama Battleship.  I remember taking The Boy to see it when he was little.

Going through downtown Mobile, Alabama heading back to the beach.

Another one of the US Alabama Battleship in Mobile Bay.

You can barely see them, but there were hundreds of birds flying around together in the Santa Rosa Sound.  Migrating?  Who knows, but The Murph grabbed the camera and started taking pictures from the balcony.

And a big squeeze for my beach cat who did NOT want to come back home the other day.  He should have been an only cat, but he will have to tolerate the other two cats for now.  I could send him to live with The Boy in his apartment and pay the pet fee, but I think I would miss him too much!  It is bad enough that The Boy's not here anymore.

That's it for this beach trip.  Can't wait to get back down there after Christmas!
