Rest In Peace Phantom, My Beautiful Boy

Today I lost my cat, Phantom after a long battle with cancer. He will be greatly missed! I still  can't believe he's gone. My heart is broken. I love him so much. The day I brought him home life got better for my son and me. I can't imagine my life without seeing that sweet face everyday.

I feel like I failed him. He depended on me to help him make the cancer go away and I couldn't. He endured all the vet visits, chemo, pills, nasty tasting holistic concoctions, trusting me that I would help him and nothing worked.

I am sooooo sorry Phantom. So very sorry. I feel like I failed you.

  1. You did NOT fail him - on the contrary. He knew. They always know when we are doing all we can to make their lives better. Phantom was really incredible. He is certainly an inspiration to anyone who knew him, or of him, to keep on fighting (how many lives can one cat have? amazing!) and to make time to play, even when life gets rough.
If you need to chat, you know where to find me. ;)

  2. Thanks Odyssey! He was a fighter and an inspiration.Night after night I never knew if he was going to be okay or if I would be waking up to find him crying, nauseas or in pain. We were up a lot, sometimes making trips to the emergency vet. The next morning I would find him begging to go outside and chase lizards and eat grass! I will never forget him! I loved him with all my heart.
