Sake At Surin

I had lunch today with K, a dear friend of mine that I've known since 8th grade.   We went to Surin, one of my favorite Thai restaurants.

First up was Sake, a Japanese rice wine, served warm.

Then both of us had Pad Thai noodles.

And Coconut Soup with tofu.

I hadn't seen her since right before Christmas when we got our picture taken while sitting on Santa's lap.  You can read about that Here.

I hear the temperature is going to be 22 F at the start of the Mercedes half marathon Sunday morning.  I'm trying to decide how many layers I will need to wear.

I don't run well in the cold!

  1. LOL. 22 F isn't that cold up here. To Canadians, that's almost spring weather. And Shannie and I enjoy sushi on occasion, but we're not big drinkers. So we'd leave the saki for you and K.

    1. I think 22F is cold no matter where you are! lol It rarely gets under 32F here. The coldest I've run in so far this winter was 28F only once. The rest of the morning runs have been in the 30's or 40's. I've only had Sake one other time and it wasn't warm like this time. It's actually very good warm. Very comforting, almost like chicken soup. I love sushi, but we didn't have any this time.
