I did Pilates class this morning for the first time.  It's not as bad as I thought it would be.  It really works the core and I need that.  I am usually not at the gym early enough to do the Pilates class, but today the Murph and I got up early because we had to get on the road and head home.  I did some weights before the class, but other than that, it was my only workout of the day.  No cardio today.  I will make up for it tomorrow and Thursday running and spinning.

My legs are not as sore today and I need to keep them that way so I will be ready for the race this weekend.


  1. Pilates is awesome! Glad you're into it. I love Pilates. I have been doing extra yoga instead of Pilates, though, as the only mat classes at my Club are earlier than I like to workout.
    You'll get amazing benefits; it's a great supplement to cardio.

  2. Yoga is my next goal. I love Pilates too. It is offered right there at our condo's gym. How easy is that! No excuses now!

  3. you will love yoga. it takes a little while to feel the benefits (physical, mental, emotional) but when you do...it is amazing! i can't/won't do without my yoga. :)

  4. I am thinking about doing the Yoga class here on Saturday. The "Yoga Guy" (that's what the Murph and I call him) told us today that it was sport oriented. Sounds good to me!
